Everything fell into place for a great and fast night of racing at Dawson County Raceway on July 25. The temperature was comfortable for everyone, the track was fast, and most of the drivers avoided major incidents, which aided in the show being completed in just a little over two-and-a-half hours. Racing Action Plentiful at Dawson County Raceway During Fair
With features to be made up from July 11 and a draw-redraw event for the regular show for the four classes made for plenty of action for the fans that came to watch the races during the Dawson County Fair. David Murray, Jr. of Oberlin, Kansas, Casey Werkmeister of Maywood, Mike Nichols of Harlan, Iowa, Vince Leibert of Lexington, Bryan Herrick of Curtis, and Jim Rayburn of Gibbon had the best seats in the house for the action, as they were the A Feature winners of the night.

A fast moving storm with a bad reputation forced the cancellation of the races at Dawson County Raceway before the night could be completed. The three A Features that were not run will be made up on July 18.

It was the first night in a while at Dawson County Raceway where no one had to worry about bad weather. The United Rebel Sprint Series was in town, and with the regular four classes, there was a full night of racing to be enjoyed by the fans. Keefe Hemel of Dodge City, Kansas, David Murray, Jr. of Oberlin, Kansas, Mike Nichols of Harlan, Iowa, Jim Buss of Blue Hill, and Shane Stout of North Platte enjoyed the features the most, as they won the five main events of the night.

Buss Back In Victory Lane at Dawson County Raceway
It was one of those nights at Dawson County Raceway when incidents were the norm in each of the four A Features in the night. There was not a full moon, although there will be next weekend when the United Rebel Sprint Series comes to town to join the other four classes on June 27, 6:30 p.m. start time. David Murray, Jr. of Oberlin, Kansas, Casey Werkmeister of Maywood, Jim Buss of Blue Hill, and Colton Osborn of Cozad were the drivers that had the fewest dents on their cars en route to the A Feature wins.

Leibert and Martin Earn Victories at Dawson County Raceway
The races at Dawson County Raceway went well on Sunday night, as the fifty-seven cars in four divisions completed the night’s events in just a tick over two-and-a-half hours. That does not mean there wasn’t tight racing and torn up race cars, although most drivers were able to drive their cars onto their trailers. David Murray, Jr. of Oberlin, Kansas, Mike Nichols of Harlan, Iowa, Anthony Martin of Wilcox, and Vince Leibert of Lexington had cars that worked well and earned them A Feature victories.
